Hotel El Call

Our credit card went missing from the room, so we reported it to reception straight away. Housekeeping initially denied any involvement, but shortly afterward the same staff member brought the card back. To me, that clearly shows it had been taken. Hotel management didn’t apologize or take the matter seriously. That’s unacceptable, and the lack of accountability made an already shocking situation worse. I strongly advise future guests to be very careful with their belongings here.

I used public transport and had just one suitcase, so getting around was no problem. The place was convenient, safe, clean, and friendly. I don’t spend much time in my hotel, so cleanliness and safety are what matter to me. I’d stay there again and recommend it.

The location was great, with everything within a 20-30 minute walk, though it’s near bars and can get a little rowdy. It didn’t feel especially dangerous. We booked a room for four with one queen and two single beds. It has very few amenities: no hot water kettle or soap, though there was hand soap, clean towels, WiFi, and a nice shower. For two people, I think it’d work well because the room is tiny but functional. With more people, luggage and space would be tricky. There is a lift, but it’s small, probably room for only two people with luggage.

The room stayed at 30C the whole time we were there. The AC didn’t work, and opening the window didn’t cool it down, even in February. The walls are paper thin, and we heard a fair amount of noise from staff and other guests. The rooms were clean and the staff reasonably friendly. There aren’t any extra facilities, just the room and a vending machine in the lobby. The location is great if you don’t have much luggage, since it’s in a pedestrian area.
