My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great.

Good.

We were satisfied with our five-day stay. Three years ago, my son and I traveled there, and the location was excellent, just steps from the beach. The hotel is very basic, but the room was large and had beds, a shower and a small balcony. We ate at the street cafes, which were pretty good. Mostly, we only came back to sleep, and that's all a tired traveler needs.

Room 207 was my favorite: about 16 square meters with one large bed, a balcony and bathroom, plus a wardrobe, big mirror and LCD TV. I loved the mattress in the double room with a king-size bed, and that balcony was beyond words. With a bottle of wine, watching the nightlife below felt like sitting on a restaurant balcony. The place is family-run, and I met the staff and absolutely loved them. Sonya and Kristina will definitely help you. They're a very friendly, open family. This little hotel really appealed to me, and I think its location is one of the best. If you like jogging by the coast, long walks and nightlife with clubs, everything is close: the grocery market is a three-minute walk, the beach is 7 minutes away, Barceloneta metro is 5 minutes, the train station is a 7-minute walk, Ciutadella Park is 8 minutes, and La Rambla is 12-15 minutes away. From the train station you can take high-speed trains to Switzerland or Nice. There are also loads of attractions, restaurants, pizzerias and shops for every taste and budget. The price and quality are excellent. For this price in Barceloneta, you'll struggle to find a double room with air conditioning, a private bathroom and a balcony overlooking the nightlife. The hotel has no reception desk, so I recommend giving them your arrival time when you book. Check-in is through the "Meson Barceloneta" restaurant. The place could use a refresh, and young people may be buzzing around outside the windows all night. But with the balcony closed and air conditioning on, it's quiet and peaceful. I stayed in room 207, and the steep stairs up from the courtyard entrance didn't spoil my impression. If anything, I liked that nobody was monitoring or bothering me. Room 208 was beside mine. It also has a balcony overlooking the promenade, two separate beds and a shower.
