With a rental car, staying here was a disaster. The roads are uneven and driving was really challenging, and there was nowhere to park. A nearby garage cost 25 euros a day. It's close to guill park, but they also require a deposit for the apartment. The electricity kept cutting out. Customer service was the strangest part: there are lots of numbers, but everything is handled digitally online and nobody shows up. You have to take care of things yourself.
The apartment was clean, and the sheets and towels were fresh. Still, the place felt dated. The kitchen had plenty of dishes but was short on basics like salt, oil, pepper and drinking water. There was just a small bag with a couple of tea bags and little salt and sugar packets. Check-in through the app was smooth. It's a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro and 5 minutes to a bus stop, though the hilly route could be hard for elderly guests or people with mobility concerns. Sound insulation is limited, especially with the windows open, so light sleepers might notice the noise.
There's a big terrace with a view over the city, and the apartment is very clean. It's right next to Güell Park, with cafes, shops and a market nearby, plus bus and metro stops within 300 metres. Some of the furniture is worn, and the bed linen and towels could use an update, but that didn't spoil the comfort or the overall feel.
Worst experience my family has had. The pictures look great, but the place was terrible in person: hard to find, ugly inside, and the surrounding area felt unsafe and run-down. It's across from a bar with lots of drunk people outside. You can hear everything from upstairs through the walls, and the place smelled awful. Save your money and find a nice hotel in downtown Barcelona. It's 10 min away from this disgusting place.
The balcony view was lovely: green trees on one side, not in bloom yet, and a whole stretch of cherry blossoms across the road. Inside, the rooms and bathrooms were really spacious. We had three bedrooms: one couple bedroom with two single beds pushed together, and two with bunk beds (double cot). There was a shared bathroom and an attached one in the couple bedroom, which also had a toilet with bidets and a bathtub. The shared bathroom was a bit smaller, with a nice enclosed standing shower. There's also a kitchen, a hall, a large dining hall and a balcony. A wonderful view to start the day.
