The location is great if you want to be near restaurants and shops, with everything just a 3-5 minute walk away. But if you’re claustrophobic, don’t book the economy room. I gave the service one star because the room doesn’t come with a blanket, which is standard in most places. Getting one costs another 40 euros.

The landlady was really kind and helpful with whatever we needed. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though there was a faint mold smell from the wallpaper. The hotel’s central position made getting around easy. On the downside, the elevator stopped working at night, leaving us to climb several flights of stairs. The area felt worse after dark, with hustlers and junkies around. Not having a fridge was inconvenient, and the facilities didn’t justify the price.

The owners were so kind and helpful. It’s a perfect location, close to everything and easy to get around on foot.

The room smelled, the sheets were greasy and didn’t seem like a proper bedsheet, and the bed was smaller than a two-person bed. The shower and toilet smelled too, there was no toilet-paper holder, it was very noisy, and I only noticed the black mold as we were leaving. There are no extra amenities. The medium room had a nice view of the plaza, and the place is right in the centre with lots of cafés and things to do. But for us the drawbacks outweighed that. We paid 46 euros a night, which is OK, though some people said they paid much more, and that would not be acceptable. The woman at reception was quite abrasive and didn’t make us feel welcome. She asked for what felt like too much personal information, including where I live and my passport number, then immediately tried to upsell us to another room. The room we’d originally booked was awful and apparently didn’t even have a window. This was a last-minute booking, so we didn’t have many other options, but if we’d known how bad it was, we wouldn’t have booked. If you just need somewhere basic to sleep, you could go for it, but honestly, try to book somewhere nicer.
