Casa Lolita Guesthouse

Casa Lolita has a more residential, local feel in Eixample, and I’m glad I chose it over a tourist-heavy area. There were fewer tourists, everything was walkable, and as a woman I felt completely safe walking alone at night. The main shopping streets are an easy walk away, while the neighborhood still feels calm and authentically Barcelona. It’s more like a guesthouse than a hostel, with private rooms only and either shared or private bathrooms. I chose a private room with its own bathroom and really appreciated that after long travels. It was spacious, bright, and comfortable, with a high ceiling window, lots of natural light, and a cute little terrace. They also provided a hairdryer, which was a bonus since I hadn’t packed one. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Astor, whose warmth, smile, and conversation made the stay. There’s a kitchen with a simple continental breakfast setup and coffee, plus a big terrace at the back that must be lovely in summer. Highly recommend Casa Lolita for a welcoming, personal alternative to a hotel in a great Barcelona location. 5**

Such a clean, cozy place, with thoughtful, friendly service. The neighborhood is ideal, close to everything. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, beautiful, and very clean, and the location was great. Self check-in was practical; we did have a problem with the entry code, but it was sorted in a minute. You can tell they put a lot of work and care into this place. The towels smelled really nice, and they supplied shampoo and soap. I also appreciated having a hairdryer in the room with the private bathroom.

Road traffic was the one thing that kept us awake, it continued through the night. The room itself was roomy and really clean, with fresh scented towels. The bathroom and shower room were spotless, and the kitchen was neat and well organized. Breakfast was simple, but enough.
