CasaNova Guest House

My friend and I had a great stay at Casa Nova Hostel. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, gave us all the information we needed about Barcelona, and even arranged a taxi for our departure. The apartment floors were tidy and smelled nice, and the rooms were cleaned each day, which made things feel fresh and welcoming. The walls were a little thin, but after 10 PM the other guests were polite and quiet, so it wasn’t a major problem. For the price, location, and service, Casa Nova Hostel is great value. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, well-managed place to stay in Barcelona.

The room was extremely small, and the bed was so uncomfortable that it left my back hurting. The guesthouse’s central location is easily its best feature, and it’s convenient for getting around. If location is all that matters to you, it may be okay, but I wouldn’t stay again.

The location is perfect, with easy access to lots of metro stations and just a short walk to pg. De Gracia. We found this guest house after a lot of research because hotels in Barcelona are incredibly expensive. The room and shared bathroom were clean, with daily cleaning, and I think the experience depends on how considerate the other guests are. Some other guests were quiet and respectful, but a few young women staying there at the same time as us were loud and came in at all hours. We weren’t going to bed early, but hearing people chatting and laughing in the corridor at 5 am after a night out wasn’t great. The shared bathroom was clean, but since no room with a private bathroom was available when we booked, we tried it. We won’t repeat the experience.

The location worked well, and the shared bathroom was clean, though other guests used it too. The room was small, with a window facing the stairwell, and there was some noise. The sheets were torn and the towels weren't very clean. In the common area there was a capsule coffee machine, a small fridge, a kettle, an iron, and a hair dryer.
