Charming Parallel

We paid more than 800 euros for three nights, and could have stayed in a hotel for less. It was our worst Airbnb experience, and it put us off renting one again. Book at your own risk. Not a single air conditioner worked, so the apartment was boiling. Opening the balcony doors didn’t help, and only made the outside noise worse. There are no windows in the apartment. We barely slept because of the heat. We kept reminding the host about the AC from the first day to the last, and he had us troubleshoot it every day. We were on vacation, not his handymen. He should have fixed it before we arrived. He said a repairman would come, but the person never showed up, even by our last day. So frustrating. We only found out too late that other guests had experienced the same problem. Read the other reviews. It made it seem like the host didn’t care.

We stayed in May 2017 and really enjoyed this compact, cozy apartment. It felt fresh and had everything we needed to live and relax, with lovely design. The family apartment is right in the city center, but the area is quiet. The sights, metro, port, and restaurant streets are all within walking distance. Ivan met us and was so welcoming and helpful whenever we needed anything. Our whole family is very grateful to him. Recommended!

Poor value for the money. Lots of things in the apartment don’t work, and customer service is basically nonexistent. If a bad experience is what you’re after, this is the place.

Getting around Barcelona was easy from here, with train and bus routes close by. There’s also a handy little shop right next door.
