Hotel Constanza

We were there for three nights, and getting around was easy thanks to the great connections and nearby places. The room was comfortable, and housekeeping kept it in good shape each day, with fresh towels and everything nicely made up. A really pleasant stay in Barcelona, and one I’d recommend.

Alexandra at reception was so friendly and helpful, and even offered me an early check-in. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and lots of attractions are an easy walk away. I stayed from February 25 to March 2. My only issue was the single bed, which felt too small, and the walls could do a better job blocking sound. I’d come back for a bigger room and bed 😀

We booked two family rooms on the hotel website with a Bed & Breakfast rate, but never got a proper confirmation showing the booking details. When we arrived, the hotel said the reservation was “Room Only,” even though that wasn’t the option we chose. They later forwarded an email as the confirmation, but it had never reached us and didn’t contain valid booking information. Staff were often unhelpful and sometimes rude, which made the stay uncomfortable. We’ve filed an official complaint with the European Consumer Centre (ECC). Sadly, I can’t recommend this hotel.

The staff were friendly, and things worked out fine in the end, although there was an odd discussion over an invoice and the bathroom water wouldn’t stop running properly. The room itself was nice and clean, and the location between the old city and the eixample is perfect. I had a great stay and can recommend it.
