Cosmo Apartments Consell de Cent

We had the apartment for 12 days, and several things went wrong without the company handling them with much care. The elevator was out for most of our stay, the Wi-Fi was so weak it was hard to work, and the apartment wasn’t equipped for the five people we booked it for. If something goes wrong, you’re left to deal with it yourself. One more thing to know: keys are collected at a different location, not within walking distance of the apartment. That makes check-in complicated after a long trip. For the price, it really wasn’t worth it. There are other apartments in the area that are nicer and better managed for less.

The location is perfect, but that was the only real plus for me. The apartment’s simple look felt worn, and some things were damaged. The shower was clogged and unusable for the rest of my stay, while the outdoor curtain was broken. There was no kitchen pan or drying rack, the bath mat was dirty, and the elevator didn’t work properly. At reception I got a cold, unfriendly welcome and wondered if they were making fun of me. The person I called sounded irritated when I raised the problems. A few minor things were fixed during my stay, but the shower remained an issue. My recent stay at Cosmo Apartment on Consell del Cent in Barcelona was disappointing. I don’t recommend it.

We were happy with our stay in the two bedroom unit, which had a nice setup and a very good location. You have everything nearby, but housekeeping costs extra, as does parking at 22€ a day, which is very expensive. There’s no reception at the property, so check-in and check-out mean driving 10 minutes to the main property. They also require a 50€ deposit for the parking remote.

There’s no reception at the property, and the service was very bad. We were charged 200 euros in fees, and when we had a problem, nobody helped. The apartment had none of the amenities when we arrived. We contacted reception three times to ask for them, but they never brought anything. There wasn’t even hand soap, so we couldn’t wash our hands. When we asked for compensation, they said they couldn’t offer any. They should treat customers better.
