DingDong Putxet Hotel

The rooms were filthy, smelly, and unhygienic, and the toilets were so disgusting they made me feel sick. The air conditioning didn't work anywhere in the hotel, and there were no fans. I came all the way from London and was completely shocked. This is by far the dirtiest, worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. When we asked for help, food, or even a room change, they refused and treated us disrespectfully. They kept us waiting on calls about refunds, then hung up. It felt like a scam. There was constant maintenance noise, broken facilities everywhere, and it felt like sleeping on the street. The place seemed more like an abandoned, dirty jungle lodge than somewhere in Barcelona. I don't understand how Spanish authorities let this hotel stay open. It cheats tourists, takes their hard-earned money, and ruins holidays. The government should shut it down immediately. Warning: if you care about your family, kids, health, and money, don't stay here. It was a nightmare and a complete waste of time and money. 😡😡😡

The rooms are bare, with just four walls and a bed, and the music was loud from early morning until late at night. Asking the staff for help didn't make it stop. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. If you can, skip it and skip Barcelona altogether.

The good thing is that the hotel isn't too far from the train. The pictures online don't match what you get: if you're expecting a nice place, you'll be disappointed, but if you only need the basics, that's about what you'll find. Our bathroom had black mold, and the shower door wouldn't close all the way, so water spilled out and seemed to be damaging the wall. The shower head was broken and wouldn't stay up, and there was a sewage smell. The walls are very thin, so we could hear conversations clearly from nearby rooms and floors. We woke up several times in the night to people partying or coming and going. Also, the mobile key only opened the front door, so bring your room key when you go out.

There was no outside view from our room, and the door and frame had a big gap that anyone could peer through. The walls were so thin we could hear everything. At night, we heard three separate guests yelling on their phones about refunds or discounts because of the unbelievable state of the rooms. Instead of a proper blanket cover, two regular sheets had been put over the blanket. We had to remove it and sleep with just the sheets. When we first arrived, there was a used razor under the toilet.
