The bed and pillows deserve a mention too. They were incredibly cozy and supportive, not just comfortable. The apartment was bright, air-conditioned, and very clean. We stayed four days, and they supplied face towels for each day for both of us. The kitchen is tiny but has absolutely everything you might need. The place is close to the metro, well located, and hassle-free. Honestly, I can’t think of a downside.

I’ve stayed in the upper-floor apartment on Marqués de Sentmenat twice now, and enjoyed the second visit just as much as the first. It’s still my first choice when I come to Barcelona, which I do often. The neighborhood is nice, there are plenty of public transport options, and the apartment is quiet most of the time. Its open layout makes it feel bigger than it is. It’s cozy and comfortable, with lots of natural light, though it faces North and gets no direct sun. The bed and pillows are both extremely comfortable. A few things could be better. The WiFi works well in the living room but doesn’t reach the bedroom. The welcome supplies could be more generous: there’s no kitchen paper, and for stays over a couple of days you’ll need to buy dish soap and/or dishwasher tablets. I also haven’t managed to get the washing machine’s dryer mode working properly. Those are fairly minor issues.

This is more like a self-catering apartment than a hotel. The area near Barcelona Sants station is quiet, though the tourist sights take a bit of walking or a metro ride to reach. There are lots of small supermarkets nearby, and the apartment has all the facilities you need for a stay of several days if you want to cook some meals yourself. It was very clean, with a nice bathroom and an enormous double bed. You get in with a code, which you can receive through the online emails after paying the deposit or collect from their central Barcelona office.

The staff were easy to work with and helpful, and the bed was really comfortable. The apartment had everything I needed, with a great location for getting transport to all the places I wanted to visit.
