Generator Barcelona Hotel & Hostel

The staff were great. On my first night, an external fan outside my window was roaring like a jet engine, so I told the desk. They quickly gave me earplugs, then had someone fix it the next day. Really appreciated a team that follows through. I had a good time at Generator. The lounge was brilliant for sitting around and recovering after walking all over the city. I didn't eat there, since I was busy trying all the nearby places, but the bar looked really nice when I passed it. The food and drinks seemed like they'd be a safe bet. A cool, friendly place to stay in Barça.

The hostel had a welcoming social feel, and it was easy to meet travelers from around the world. I felt safe throughout my stay, and the beds were comfortable. It was clean and well maintained, with excellent facilities. The location worked perfectly for me, close to transit, major sights, restaurants, and nightlife. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with directions and recommendations. Great value for money, and I'd happily stay again on my next Barcelona trip. Highly recommended.

Olmedo led the sangria-making masterclass at Generator Barcelona, and he was so lovely. He explained how to make it really calmly, and we had a fun time. The sangrias turned out super yummy. I'd 100% recommend doing this if you're staying here!

The staff were very friendly, and the hostel is affordable and fun. On Saturday evening there was karaoke, which I really enjoyed and would definitely recommend. Inside, there are nice areas to relax and spend time, and the location is within walking distance of bus and metro. The rooms were clean, with a bathroom and toilet. Bring your own towel; you can borrow a hairdryer with a deposit. Lockers under the beds need your own lock, while rented lockers are available if you want to leave things after checkout. You can also get discounted food from the taco cocaine across the street. The hostel is very close to the "Arda Turan" bank :)
