I love this place and will keep coming back. The Hostal is always very clean, the beds are comfortable, it’s beautiful, and the bathrooms are new now. For me, it’s in the best Barcelona neighborhood for locals and tourists alike. There are coworking spaces, nightlife, great restaurants, clubs, brunch spots and cafés. It also feels very safe, even at night. You can find gyms and sports clubs for Pilates, yoga, barre and cycling, plus quick public transport and taxis to the city’s best places. There are also lots of bike and motorbike rentals by app nearby. The best neighborhood and people in Barcelona are here.

We’d definitely return to Hostal Alogar. The staff were welcoming and very helpful with questions and recommendations, and the place felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Rooms, bathrooms and shared areas were all spotless. It’s in a quiet, safe area with good public transport links to the city center, and cafés, bakeries and shops nearby.

The people running this place clearly care about making your stay good. They gave us fantastic local restaurant suggestions we’d never have found ourselves, and check-in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hostel is in a great spot for getting around the city. Great value, and we’ll be back.

I had a really relaxing stay at Hostal Alogar. The room was clean, comfortable and well looked after, and the quiet, pleasant neighborhood made it easy to feel at home. It’s in a great location with good Metro connections, and the staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

The receptionist was incredibly welcoming. Checkout is officially at 11:00, but he told me not to worry and let me stay until 12:00. The room, shared toilets and shower area were spotlessly clean. There’s also a large kitchen with all the utensils you need, a fridge, and well-kept laundry facilities. Everything was outstanding for the price. I paid €35 for a double room, while similar rooms in the neighborhood usually cost around €50. I travel to Spain regularly, and this time made for another interesting story.
