Antonella texted to say my room was ready, and it had been cleaned by 11:30, even though I’d arrived from the US at 9am. That was excellent service. Cecile and Daya, I loved chatting with you about traveling. You were all so kind, helpful and informative. I’d happily tell my friends to stay here. The terrace overlooking the square was a favorite spot for my morning coffee, and for watching people come and go throughout the day. My room had a comfortable bed, a fantastic shower, air conditioning that kept it cool, and even a refrigerator. There was a bottle of wine waiting for me, too. I’ve stayed in closet-sized rooms in Italy, but by European standards this was spacious. I loved my stay and highly recommend this boutique hotel.

The staff were kind and very supportive. Hanse helped me a lot, handled everything professionally, and shared plenty of recommendations. The Hostal also has a small, cozy social area where they offer drinks, fruit, pastries and coffee for free. The location is one of the best in BCN, close to downtown, the Gothic and old town areas, beaches, the metro and other places of interest within walking distance.

We had a lovely stay. Even with a balcony and windows facing Plaça, where it gets busy and crowded early in the morning, our room was very quiet. It was clean, with modern decor, and had a beautiful view. The bathroom was nice, with a spacious shower. Restaurants, bars and public transport are all close by. Definitely recommend!

Being able to open the French windows and step onto a little balcony over Plaça Reial was a real treat. The hotel’s in a great spot, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Cécile especially made us feel welcome.

We had quiet nights because our windows didn’t face Placa, even though the hotel is right inside it. The rooms are nicely decorated and the staff are friendly. It’s easy to find, with great instructions. The location is amazing, though the toilet is wedged between the shower and bathroom walls, so it could feel tight if you have broad shoulders. Definitely recommend!
