The area is nice, with good restaurants and bars, but if you have other options in Barcelona, I’d choose one of them. Getting in was awful: there’s no reception, and nobody answered the WhatsApp number. After we waited ten minutes in the rain, someone finally opened the front door remotely. There was no guidance about where to go or help with public transport. The rooms are tiny and bare, with old furniture and beds that are too soft. There were no cups, water, tea, or coffee. At night, metro noise came into the room, which would be a big problem if you’re not a deep sleeper. The AC didn’t work and there was no way to adjust the temperature, so the room was either too warm or too cold. With no lounge or shared spaces, the whole place feels cramped and dark. Calling this a hotel feels like a scam; it’s a large apartment they’ve divided into rooms. If you’re stuck, you can stay here, but try to avoid it.

The location is really good, but the rooms were very dirty. They said there was luggage storage, but it was just an unsupervised spot at reception where anyone could steal your bags.

The location is really convenient, with underground stations and public transport nearby, plus cozy restaurants in the downtown area. I would have liked to see employees, especially at registration. I had to message the hotel manager on WhatsApp to find out how to get my room key. He replied quickly, though, so it wasn’t a big problem.

The staff were great and kept going out of their way to help. It’s also nice that the area is generally quiet. The mattresses were very soft, and as a larger person I would have preferred sturdier beds. After dealing with Barcelona’s heat, it was wonderful to cool off in the apartment.

The toilets smelled awful, and the AC is shared between several rooms. If you want it at 19c and another person wants 30c, one of you won’t get the temperature you want. I’m giving three stars because the staff were friendly, they cleaned up the trash and brought fresh towels daily, and the location is good.
