Ecozentric

We had a terrace and it was fantastic, though I don't know how many of the rooms have one. The rooms are okay, nothing special, but as a tourist you're out practically all day anyway. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's a shop just down the stairs, a bakery very close by, and a takeaway on the corner.

Andrea was a great host, really nice and full of useful information. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean, and coffee and pastries were included. If you're after a nice, quaint place to stay in Barcelona, this is it. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it 100%.

Otherwise a great stay, but we had cockroaches in the room.

I booked online and quickly regretted it once I arrived. At US $150 a night, this place is outrageously expensive for an old apartment split into rooms, and the description made the hotel sound far better than what was actually there. It says toiletries are provided, but all I found was a hand soap dispenser by the bathroom sink. There was no closet for hanging clothes, and the TV was about the size of a computer monitor. The A/C wasn't turned on because it supposedly wasn't "hot" yet. The major online booking companies should take another look at what this Ecozentric hotel advertises and what it actually offers. It doesn't make the cut on service, amenities, or price.
