Hostal Eden

We had two coffees and two other drinks included, and there was free hot and cold water at reception. There's also a microwave there, plus a fridge in the room. Outside, there's a terrace in an enclosed compound where you can sit. Our room, number 110, had a beautiful handmade painting on the wall. The staff were very kind, and the sheets and toilet were clean. Plaza Catalunya is a five-minute walk away, with a Carrefour supermarket 20 meters from the hotel. A very good place all around.

The only good thing was its location on a central street. I can't believe some of the reviews above one star. They must be coming from the hostel owner. At hostel Eden, there was noise of every kind all night. Everything was old, broken and dirty, with hairs everywhere. The room smelled awful, and there was a smoke smell in the corridor. The window glass was broken, letting cold air in, and the outdated refrigerator made stomach-like sounds all night. The decoration and wall paint were horrible.

The location in the city is really good, and I'd go back. The room was okay for the price and clean, but the bed wasn't comfortable at all.

It was very cheap, and I'd book again. The room was two-star, with some quirky features. Nice shower and really friendly staff.
