Hostal Girona

The breakfasts were delicious, and everything felt peaceful and comfortable. I'm very glad I picked this hotel. It's right in the city center, our room was clean, and the staff were warm and friendly. The receptionist was especially kind and helpful.

The desk clerk kindly carried our gear upstairs while we were out exploring, after we'd left our bags in the lower-level courtyard. We arrived at 7:30 in the pouring rain, even though check-in wasn't until 3. We'd been told in advance we could leave our luggage, but couldn't hear the intercom instructions about going to the first level. The hostel is next to a business school in a very nice neighborhood, and the central location was a bonus. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the extensive breakfast selection exceeded expectations. On our last evening we had a memorable dinner at Cafe Novella, down on the corner near the hostel. The Margherita pizza and cheese cake were quite delicious for Spain, and both proprietors were gracious and kind. The prices were reasonable.

We were here for the Barcelona Half Marathon, and the location worked perfectly for us. The room was really clean. Sharing a toilet felt a bit weird, but it wasn't a problem. Breakfast had everything you might need for a quick meal, and the woman helping out was helpful too.

Our private room was spacious, clean and pleasant to stay in. It had its own shower, while the bathroom in the hall was shared. The included breakfast had a good range, with Spanish tortilla, tostados, parfaits, cheeses and hams. The location is good and central in Barcelona.
