Hostal Goya

Hotel Goya was comfortable and had everything I needed in Barcelona. The rooms were clean, the location was great, and the staff made us feel welcome. I'd be happy to stay here again.

The staff were lovely, knew the area well and were very helpful. The place is affordable and incredibly central, just one street away from Las Ramblas. You can walk to Sagrada la Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila, place de Catalunya, Arc de Triomf and plenty more.

The room was dirty and smelled strongly of mold. We asked to move, but they refused, so we had to leave after the first night because the conditions felt unhealthy. The manager was arrogant, the staff weren't helpful, and they wouldn't reimburse us for the four nights we had left. I can't recommend this place.

The rooms are small and the furniture isn't brand new, but they were clean, and the location is great, near the center and main attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. We arrived on the day of the national blackout, and they handled the situation really well. Since most restaurants were closed, they provided food and water for all the guests. They also gave us a detailed map and information about which supermarkets and shops were open, since there was no network connection in Barcelona and Google Maps wasn't working. A very good experience!
