The rooms were clean, and the friendly staff helped us with our luggage. The location was nice and convenient, and I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone. 👍

Really lovely stay, everything was perfect. The place was very clean and comfy, and close to the center.

The room was a good size and fairly comfortable, with a nice balcony. We also liked the card key that opened every door and the self check-in option. From here, it's easy and quick to get to the city's points of interest. But it was noisy. We could hear people coming back to the hostel and partying in the street as if they were in our room. The shower drain didn't work properly and smelled bad. April was already warm, so we didn't understand why the bed had only a very warm duvet. Reception closes at 15, so we couldn't leave our luggage there later. Another hostel about a 20-minute walk away offered that option. For what we paid, we expected better.

UPDATE: It's unbelievable that this hostal still exists and has the nerve to respond by accusing us of being noisy, when we spent most of our time away from your substandard establishment. Instead of blaming guests with false claims, maybe your business should deal with its many problems, starting with poor service, bad manners, and questionable ethics! This was the worst experience we've ever had. We arrived at Hostal Natura Barcelona at 11.30AM and were left outside with no answer at the door. A resident let us into the building. A few minutes later, the “receptionist” showed up and grudgingly let us in, muttering in broken English that their websites said check-in was strictly 13:00 -21:00, though we couldn't find that information anywhere. She then made a racially charged comment, suggesting people from our country, we are Asians, wouldn't understand that this is a family business. I've never encountered such rigid check-in rules at a hostel, or been treated like I should be grateful to stay there. She let us leave our luggage but wouldn't check us in early. When we came back around 2:30 PM, she complained that we'd kept her waiting for hours, even though she'd earlier said she'd be there all day. She immediately charged my card for the full stay, then demanded the city tax in cash on the spot, insinuating we might leave without paying. She also said they offered free coffee or tea because “we are from Asia.” We later found that wasn't true, the coffee and tea weren't free. We let those mishaps, the fake welcome, and the discriminatory and ignorant remarks go. On our last night, though, we returned to find the room cleaned but with no towels, and the Wi-fi name and password for our room had been changed without telling us. We didn't complain because reception was always closed and unresponsive. We brought our own towels. At checkout we even politely said we'd had a “good time,” which was quite an overstatement. Then, while I was at the airport waiting for my flight, I got an email from the receptionist accusing us of stealing their towels and immediately charging us for them. Why would we steal something so insignificant from a hostel? I've traveled extensively across America, Europe, and Asia, and have had far better service at hostels for students. In all those years, I've never had service this discriminatory and distasteful. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It doesn't deserve even one star.
