Hostalet De Barcelona

We found the place clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. Jeannelle was so friendly and helpful, always ready to assist, and made our stay really enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it!

Free coffee and cookies were available during the day, which was nice. The place matched what it advertises, and the staff were lovely. Our separate bathroom was perfectly fine and had enough space. The room was comfortable enough for a night's sleep and a little downtime during the day. It was also very well located. The place was better than I expected from the reviews.

Don't go there. This place could ruin your experience of an otherwise amazing city. We paid for three nights upfront, but left the morning after the first night, exhausted, and never got any refund despite trying several times, even for the nights we didn't stay. The room had no real window, just a hole in the wall facing the elevator shaft. We couldn't sleep because of the elevator noise and people going by on the staircase. When we returned from a city trip on the first night, there was nobody at reception. Our door lock had broken while the door was still locked, so we had to call the police because there was literally no one to help us and nowhere else for us to stay. In the end, we managed to pick the broken lock with the few things we had, without leaving a mark.

The staff were friendly and the location was good, the only positives for me. The room was tiny and claustrophobic, smelled of cigarettes and food, and had mold in the bathroom. Several things were broken, including the bathroom door and wall shelf. On top of that, the neighbours were very noisy and the price was way too high for what I got. Worst place I've ever stayed.
