A cosy, clean and really nice hostel. The privacy curtain on the bed and the luggage locker underneath were a real plus. It’s a few minutes on foot to Barcelona Sants. The older woman at reception was friendly and kind. She spoke only Spanish, but we managed to chat without using translation. I’d go back.

The staff were great and polite, especially Juan. The younger employees speak English really well, and Juan was kind and respectful to every guest. It was nice to see how he looked after everyone while helping the older couple who own the place and keeping an eye on noise and order. We paid 65 euros for 3 nights, which felt like fair value. The kitchen was great and the hostel had what we needed, but the bathrooms and sheets weren’t very clean. The six-person room was smaller than expected; we even had to pull the bunk beds away from the wall to reach the power outlets, which left less space. You can leave your luggage all day after the 10:00 A.M. checkout for only 2 euros.

The place is pretty cramped, but the woman running it was lovely. I had an early train to catch and she got up early to make me breakfast. The coffee was excellent, too. If you’re travelling by train, the location works well, about a seven-minute walk from the station.

The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome: an older woman and man, plus a younger man. It’s less than a five-minute walk to the metro and about ten minutes to Sants station, with local shops and a kids’ playground nearby. I also liked that they gave you a free lock for your things. Comfort was the weak point, and this was my least favourite of the hostels I stayed at in Spain. It was probably the cheapest I found, though, and I only needed a roof for the night. If you’ll be spending time there during the day, I wouldn’t book it. The air only goes on from 11pm to 8am, so when I arrived around 4pm it was humid and smelled bad. The walls seem thin too, since you can hear everything. Light sleepers, good luck!
