Hotel Alguer Nou

For a short visit, this basic but functional two-star hotel is fine if you get a decent rate. It's clean and very close to the metro. My room had a balcony larger than the room itself, though it was rainy January, so I didn't use it. The major problem is the lack of sound insulation. You hear practically every door slam echoing through the building, so how well you sleep depends on your neighbors and their schedules.

I was charged after an error during booking, and the hotel wouldn't refund me. I eventually got the money back through a credit card chargeback, though it took a while. Very poor customer service!

There's a direct connection to and from the airport, and the metro station is just a three-minute walk away. Lots of shops and places to eat nearby. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The location is handy, with the metro station about three minutes away, Barcelona stadium nearby, and supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and shops all around. For the price, this is a great place to stay, especially with breakfast included. The hotel and room were very clean. Housekeeping and reception seemed to run like clockwork, changing the towels and replacing the linens when needed. The reception team did all they could to make our stay memorable. Breakfast offered machine coffee, two types of toast, fresh bread, croissants, donuts, muffins, ham, cheese, boiled and fried eggs, juice, yogurt, and even almond milk. The filter coffee could use some improvement, but we had a perfect stay. Congratulations to the housekeeping and reception staff, and thank you. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷!
