We had such a good time in Barcelona, thanks in large part to staying at Hotel Gotico in the heart of the Gothic quarter. The room was small, but clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a few nights. The AC worked properly. There was a window but no view, which was fine since we were outside most of the day. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in our booking and we really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

We had an upper-floor room with its own private balcony, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast had a wide selection, and the staff were helpful. The location was great, just a two-minute walk from the metro. Getting to the airport took about 40 minutes with one change. We'd definitely stay again and recommend it. I'm not sure how it has a 4-star rating when there aren't really amenities beyond breakfast, no bar or restaurant, for example. Apart from that, the rooms were good.

I'm asthmatic and need air conditioning even in winter. When I arrived, the room was hot, and the only suggestion was to open the window and turn off the heater. They never told me before I booked that the cold air conditioning doesn't work in winter. I stayed here in 2011 and had a wonderful experience, but when I booked again on 11252025, this was what I got. I don't recommend the hotel at all. When you're away from home, you need somewhere you can trust.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and a comfortable stay in a great location. Many attractions are within walking distance, making it a good base for exploring the Gothic Quarter and Barcelona city centre.

The rooms are a little small, but that's the trade-off for the convenient location. It's in the Gothic Quarter, close to the subway, and the staff were friendly and great.
