Key Plaza Universidad - Gran Via

We had a very disappointing stay, and I’d strongly advise against this place. To check in after booking through Booking.com, you have to sign a contract or you can’t get into the apartment. They require a €500 security deposit, and paying it in cash costs another €20. The rules are strict: silence is required from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. One complaint from a neighbor means losing €20, and a second means eviction with no deposit refund. The apartment didn’t look like the photos. It was on the 3rd floor, but the elevator needed a key they never gave us. We asked for help several times and got none, despite traveling with an elderly person and heavy suitcases. Luckily, a neighbor stepped in. The apartment was in poor shape, with damaged flooring and loose tiles, and it had no insulation. We could hear everything inside the building and outside, so getting any rest was impossible. The staff were the worst part: unprofessional, uncommunicative, and no help at all. For what we paid, that service was unacceptable. Avoid this place if you don’t want your stay ruined.
