The room was windowless on the outside, which I actually appreciated because it kept out street noise. It did feel too humid, though, and a stronger bathroom fan might help. Even so, I had a really nice stay and would recommend it to others. The place was clean and had everything I needed. The staff were nice, the location was easy to get around from, and there was complimentary coffee and tea available 24/7.

The common area was lovely, with drinks and snacks available all the time. Our room was spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were comfortable throughout our stay and enjoyed every second. 10/10!

Breakfast had a nice spread of cold meat and cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread, and jam. It was self-service, with no staff clearing tables. Coffee and tea were available by the windows, and the machine was free to use all day. We had such good weather that I took coffee and cake from the breakfast room out to the courtyard garden one afternoon. I had a lovely four-night break and really enjoyed staying here. My room, number 13, was a good size, with a double bed, a single bed, and its own terrace overlooking the courtyard garden. The bathroom had a large shower with both a rain head and a smaller showerhead. The curtains made the room very dark, but music from a nearby cafe until about 1am sometimes made it harder to sleep. The TV had nearly all German stations, though I found two new English channels. There was a safe, but the hanging rail was too high for me to reach easily as a 5'3" woman and wasn't suited to dresses. I couldn't get WiFi in my room, only in the corridor, where there were seats so I could message comfortably. The building is quite old and sits on a tree-lined, one-way, two-lane street. It wasn't too busy or noisy. An old metal-framed lift goes up to the first floor, where the hotel entrance is, but there's no lift for the further flight of stairs to my room. Both the street entrance and hotel entrance use a code. Reception and the breakfast room are on the first floor. Reception closes at 4pm. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke German, Spanish, and English. It's very close to an underground station, and some major attractions are easy to reach on foot. There are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, and I didn't feel unsafe even at night. A taxi from terminal 2 at Barcelona airport cost 35-40 euros, and a ride to placa catalyuna was about 10 euros. It was great value for money. Although it was December, the weather was very warm.

Free Cava, coffee, tea, and more were available around the clock, and we loved the service and the clean, nicely styled room. We spent a couple of nights at this small, lovely Boutique Hotel in a perfect central spot. We'll definitely come back!
