The only drawback was some nighttime noise outside our room on the 1st floor, from people chatting in front of the nearby restaurants. It wasn't too bad, but if you're an early sleeper, it may be worth asking whether they can put you somewhere quieter. The room itself looked great and was very clean. The host was easy to reach and always helpful when we needed anything.

I had a terrible stay and won't be coming back. I needed to leave for a concert at 4pm, but my apartment still wasn't ready at 15:00, the official check-in time. They said it would take at least another hour, and the staff member just told me, “there is nothing else I can do for you”. I had to leave my luggage at the other residence, walk a few blocks, and get ready in the lobby bathroom. I understand that early check-in depends on availability, but at the scheduled check-in time, they should have solved the problem instead of leaving me without a room.

We wanted to try the high-end apartment designed by Kelly Hoppen, but it was a really bad experience. We found the previous guest's contact lenses on the master bed, and the shower gel had been put in the wrong place and turned into hand sanitizer. We told customer service on booking not to replace it while we were out of the room. When we came back, someone had still entered, though thankfully none of our belongings were missing. We came to admire fame.

The neighborhood is nice and well located, but I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to friends. This was my sixth visit to Barcelona, and at almost $400 a night, the poor service wasn’t worth it. I’d requested breakfast with the reservation, but it arrived close to 1 PM the following day. The TV was outdated and only had local channels, while the one in the main bedroom didn’t work at all. I’d come from New York for two nights in the penthouse. The reservation office emailed to say I was fully paid and told me what balance was due on arrival, but at check-in I was asked to pay again. The staff member ran my card three times, and my bank blocked it.
