It felt safe to stay here with family and a child, and I’d recommend it. The location is convenient for the beach, Sagrada Família, and the subway. There’s a locked luggage room, so we could leave our bags there and sightsee on the last day. You can also use the hotel lounge until 8 pm on checkout day with your PIN. Access to the hotel and room is by a six-digit code rather than a card, and check-in could only be done by email with help from hotel staff. Breakfast was okay, but not up to four-star standards. Service felt more like three stars too, since cleaning happened just once during our five-night stay.

We liked how calm and comfortable the hotel was, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are modern, and although a few things were less than ideal, they didn’t have much effect on our trip. We enjoy a peaceful setting, so we’d happily recommend it to people who want the same, and would consider staying here again on a future visit to Barcelona. The quiet location has a downside: there aren’t many shops or restaurants nearby, so we had to go elsewhere for more choice. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the metro, though, which makes getting around fairly easy. There was some confusion about the booking. I was sure I’d registered both of my children, but they weren’t on the reservation. I’d booked for four, yet an issue with the room facilities meant we were first given a room for only two. The hotel then arranged a second room, so our family had to split up, which wasn’t ideal. The staff didn’t charge extra, and we appreciated that. One room had a slight unpleasant smell, perhaps from the drainage, and the other had noise all night that sounded like pipes or ventilation. Neither issue was severe, but both took a little away from our comfort.

We were really happy with our stay at Naitly Hotel in Barcelona and will book it again next time. The location makes sightseeing easy, with a short walk to both the L1 and L4 metro lines, which go to the beach, Sagrada Família, and other main attractions.
