We arrived at room 101 and were shocked by its condition. The furniture and entrance door were damaged, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. The operators told us and Booking that everything was in perfect condition, which it clearly wasn’t. We’d booked two nights for my birthday and expected a room like the one in the photos. For such a high price, this was completely unacceptable. We refused to stay, and at first the guy said we’d get our money back, but we still haven’t received a cent. It was very impolite to treat clients this way. Don’t go!

We arrived late and had a small problem getting into the room, but one call fixed it within a minute. The hosts were available remotely from arrival through departure, even though there’s no staff on site. Access to the property uses codes and passwords they provide. The place works well as a reasonably priced guesthouse in central Barcelona, with clean, tidy rooms and private bathrooms. For sightseeing, the location is ideal: you can head out in the morning and come back at night to shower and eat. It’s close to the main attractions, though the beach is a bit far. There’s a shared kitchen, but we didn’t see anyone use it. Barcelona is best enjoyed outdoors in any season. The room could use a lamp, and the bathroom is a little narrow. If you’re over 180cm, using the toilet can be awkward. The shower is roomy, the water stays hot, and there’s a good quality hairdryer. The service was excellent.

Getting to the airport is easy: return to the main square and take the convenient Aerobus. The apartment has several bedrooms, and our room’s door didn’t close properly, staying slightly ajar and making privacy and security difficult. Aside from that, it was quiet and clean. You can walk to everything from here, including lots of places to eat. Highly recommended!

When mold turned up in the room, we just wanted to leave. We even offered to get one night refunded, although we’d have to find somewhere else for two nights. Instead of looking for a fair answer, the landlord accused us of lying, said the photos were staged, and then blocked me so I couldn’t contact him again. I’ve never had such disgusting, disrespectful treatment. The place falls below standards, and so does the landlord. The accommodation was inadequate, there was no understanding, and the customer service was disastrous. I strongly advise against booking here. This all started at Hostal Sol y K, a hotel run by the same owner, where construction inside and outside was extremely noisy. Nobody had warned us about the work. We arrived late Friday, and it began on Monday. I told the owner the noise was unacceptable and asked for a quieter room. After a long discussion, he offered us this other accommodation. Although it was listed for much less on booking platforms, we decided to move to another part of town. The room was extremely dirty when we arrived. There were stains on the bathroom floor, toilet seat, and even the front door. The owner asked if everything was okay, and I told him frankly it wasn’t. We sent photos, but instead of understanding, he made excuses, claiming someone had stolen the key after cleaning and dirtied the room. That was absurd.
