The location is good and the hotel is very clean. We got to check in super early because our room was ready, which was a nice bonus, and the bell boy was really nice. I might come back if the rate were lower and the beds bigger. The hotel was okay, but I wouldn't call it four-star, more like three. Our double room had twin-sized beds, which I haven't seen in a four-star hotel. The AC didn't work, and with no air circulating it was hot and stuffy all night. We called twice, and they tried to fix it remotely, but it didn't help. The shower was nice, though the bathroom setup was a bit odd: all the parts were separate, and it felt like they were inside the room rather than behind a proper bathroom door. Unless you're with a partner or close relative and don't mind little privacy, I wouldn't book here. Breakfast was average, with limited choices. There was no omelette, just greasy scrambled eggs.

We were a family of three at Olivia Balmes hotel, and the room was clean with plenty of amenities. The staff were lovely, especially Xavi at the front desk. He made us feel like friends, was incredibly welcoming and kind, and gave us a great dinner recommendation for a delicious local tapas restaurant. Thanks so much, Xavi.

The location was very good, service was great, and the price felt like good value. We enjoyed breakfast, though there was a long wait when we ordered extra, which we couldn't understand. We'd definitely consider staying here again if we return to Barcelona.

It's been eight years since my last stay here, and this was my second visit. The room was quiet and very clean. The front desk team were kind and helpful, with really good dining suggestions nearby. I'll be happy to stay here on my next visit.

I broke my leg in a fall on the first day, and the hotel staff took such good care of me. They lent me a wheelchair for my entire stay and moved me to a lovely room that was easier to access by wheelchair. Everyone checked that I was comfortable and had everything I needed, and more. What could've been a nightmare turned into a dream because of their kindness. I'm so grateful and want to thank everyone who works here. A special thank you to Reception, the Concierge team, the Doorman, Restaurant staff and Housekeeping. If I could give the staff at this wonderful hotel 20+ stars, I would.
