Oriente Atiram Hotel

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the cold water available on our floor tasted great. There was construction outside, but it was relatively quiet inside. Do not go to the adjacent restaurant. It isn’t associated with the hotel, and they WILL SCAM YOU and OVERCHARGE you for piss poor food.

The hotel’s location is its strong point, and it felt safe and clean. We were lucky to get a room at the back, away from the busy La Rambla street and loud construction. The room was very small, only average, and had no amenities at all. It was cleaned twice, but they didn’t refill the shampoo. We also asked for toothpaste and cotton and were told those weren’t part of the service. The staff were friendly, but the hotel is definitely overpriced and not worth the cost.

The staff were all excellent, friendly, and helpful, and the hotel was beautifully modernized while keeping its history. It was originally built in 1652. Despite all the construction along the Ramblas, we had a lovely time. Our room was spotless, with a comfy bed and pillows, soft fluffy towels, a kettle, water, and coffee. Breakfast was delightful, with something for every taste. The orange juice was superb, and that’s how you can tell a good hotel! It’s close to PortVell, the Metro, the Opera House, Flamenco dancers, the market, and the church, and an easy walk from Placa Catalunya. I’ll recommend it to everyone. Thank you xx💐👏👏👏💃🕺🎸

Breakfast had plenty of delicious choices, including savory, sweet, and healthy food. The staff were friendly and looked after our bags if we arrived before the room was ready or needed to leave them after checkout. Our room was clean, with fresh towels each day. It was also a nice room, though we could hear noise from the hallway and people talking outside even with the window shut. Luckily, we faced the yard rather than La Rambla. The hotel is handy for tourists, near places like Sagrada Familia and the beach, and the airport is about 40 minutes away by metro. The nearby restaurant serves very good tapas, with live piano music and good cocktails. La Rambla is crowded and noisy, and watch out for pickpockets at night. An ashtray in front of the hotel would be useful. I’d recommend the hotel for good quality if you don’t mind busy streets when coming and going.
