Palace Gracia Nextdoor

The apartment was cosy and comfortable, and the location was great. The shower had lovely strong pressure, and the kitchen was good enough. The wifi was weak, the bathroom was very dark, and construction right outside the bedroom window was extremely loud. Customer service was polite and quick to reply, but their response wasn’t adequate or realistic. They refused responsibility, saying they couldn’t have known the roadworks were planned. That’s ridiculous, since it’s their job to know, and the work was even listed publicly on the BCN road works website. As a tourist, I shouldn’t have had more information about major works outside the flat than the management company. They offered us another apartment in a different area, without the amenities in our original booking, and wanted extra payment on top of all the discomfort we’d already dealt with. I wouldn’t recommend booking with Palace Gracia Nextdoor. When we get home, I’ll take this up with Expedia and Visa. Palace Gracia Nextdoor weren’t equipped or willing to find a reasonable fix for their mistake. If we’d known about the construction, we’d have booked somewhere else. They got our booking anyway because they failed to pass on important information. Unacceptable.
