Pensión 45

Pensión 45 is in a prime spot in a beautiful neighborhood, with restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby. It’s also great if you like exploring on foot. Entry to the property and to the private living areas felt secure, and they share information about affordable activities nearby. The rooms are large and have what you need for a short stay. The private balcony was the best feature for me, and the ceiling fan helped me sleep comfortably. The bathrooms are shared. When I showered around 9 and 10 in the morning, I saw urine and used towels on the floor. On two other visits around 22:00 and 23:30, the toilet seats had quite a bit of urine on them. It’s possible I went in just after other guests, and perhaps I was the only person to have this experience, but guests may appreciate more regular bathroom cleaning. I’d still recommend the place for its location and walkability.

The room was clean, with fresh towels and shampoo in the en-suite bathroom. We booked a double for three nights and didn’t hear much noise at night. Nothing went missing from our room during the stay. Good value if you’re traveling through Barcelona and want something other than a hostel.

I only needed somewhere small to spend the night while passing through Barcelona, and this was a great stay. The rooms were clean, the service was exceptional, and “Super” Mario was kind and helpful. I’d stay here again if I come back.

I found this place disgusting and far too expensive. The street is very noisy, the toilets are shared, and there was a queue for the showers. I stayed one night and woke up itching all over. I worry you could catch skin diseases. They lock the room doors, but I still didn’t feel safe. You have to ask reception for a hairdryer, and the stingy owner has only bought one for everyone to take turns using. Please don’t go there or even set foot in this disgraceful hotel.
