Room Mate Anna, Barcelona

The location is really convenient and nice, but we probably wouldn't return to this one unless we especially wanted to stay there. We stayed a few nights at the start of our trip and one night at the end. The rooms didn't work for us, especially given the price. Huge headboard pillars take up walking space and make the room feel cramped with luggage. The biggest issue was that there's no bathroom door, and the shower and toilet doors are mirrored and see-through. We've stayed at two other Room Mate locations, Granada and Malaga, and loved their simpler room styling and nicer bathrooms with proper doors. We'd definitely choose those other Room Mate locations again.

We stayed overnight at Room Mate Anna in Barcelona in June of 2026. The staff were amazing from check-in through check-out. The funky decor was an experience in itself, and our Jr. suite was clean, neat and very well equipped. I was so impressed that next time I need a place to stay in Europe, I'll look for this hotel chain.

The team really made our stay special. Ana B at reception was a gem, so warm, funny and friendly that we felt at home straight away. Gabriela, the head of reception, was wonderful as well. She clearly runs a great team, because everything felt professional, welcoming and smooth. Room Mate Anna is cute and stylish, with clean, comfortable rooms and everything you need after a day exploring. The location is perfect too, you can walk pretty much everywhere. I'd absolutely come back. Great people, great atmosphere and a lovely hotel! 💛

The little touches have made my days here brighter: fresh heart-shaped jelly candies and fruit-infused water, help printing documents, and all the odds and ends I’ve needed, like an iron. When I asked for the air conditioning to be adjusted and to move to a brighter room, the team handled both quickly and kindly. I’ve been at Room Mate Anna in Barcelona for five weeks and have decided to stay another month. Gabriella, Esther, Althea, Ana, Raul, Ivan, Mario, Aitor, and Javi have all helped make it feel like home. They greet me warmly at any hour, and their patience and attention have been consistent throughout. I’d truly miss them if I had to leave.
