Room Mate Carla, Barcelona

The location made it easy to explore Barcelona on foot. Most of the main sights are about a 15-20 minute walk away, and the route itself has lovely cafés and beautiful buildings. Public transport is convenient too, but I’d recommend walking around. It was my first visit to the city, and I was glad to have stayed here. Carlos welcomed me on day one with such positive energy that I felt comfortable right away. The service was excellent, and my room was spacious and very clean. I’d happily come back and recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Breakfast had plenty of variety and tasted good, though the latte and macchiato from the machines were lukewarm. I also noticed fruit flies around the pastries and a few in my room. The safe didn’t work, and although I paid for a standard room, I was given a basic interior one. The location was ideal, about a 10-minute walk from Sagrada Família, Casa Batllo, and La Pedrera.

The room with a terrace had a nice balcony and lovely views, though it might feel a bit small for a long stay. If you’re sensitive to noise when sleeping, bring earplugs. With them, it should be perfect. The hotel is nicely designed. There’s a self-service bar until 23:00, breakfast runs until 12:00, and they offer a pillow menu.

I slept really well, the bed was very comfortable, and from my balcony I could see la sagrada familia. Room Mate Carla is right in the middle of the eixample, so the location is great. Service was very good in general, and they’ll upgrade you if they can. I didn’t try breakfast this time, but I’m sure it delivers. Amazing stay.
