ZOOROOMS Boutique GuestHouse

I have fond memories of Ms. Katya and Mr. Andrea from my travels. It was lovely to collect maps and recommendations from the hosts, visit the tourist attractions, and find local restaurants. I always enjoy hearing their stories about different Spanish cities. Zoorooms is on a quieter street, which I really appreciated. In Barcelona, many apartments can be a bit noisy from traffic unless you choose a three-star hotel. There are lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and many attractions are within walking distance. You can also cook there with your family if you want.

The location felt very safe, with lots of good places to eat and drink just a short walk away. We spent four nights at Zoorooms in March 2026. It’s like a smaller hotel, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There are shared spaces too: a well-equipped kitchen with food storage, an indoor lounge with sofas, and an outdoor courtyard with chairs, tables, and hammocks. Coffee, cereals, and other items were available in the kitchen. There’s also a shared bathroom with a shower you can use after checkout if needed. The only small downside was some late-night outside noise. Our room faced the road, with bars and restaurants nearby, but that comes with being in a lively city.

Great hosts, rooms, and facilities, in a superb location. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Barcelona.

Andrea at reception was welcoming, kind, and full of useful advice. Just be aware that reception is staffed for very limited hours during the day, with WhatsApp service at other times. I really liked staying here: the rooms have fun art, and the shared terrace is spacious and beautiful. The sound insulation between rooms wasn’t very good. A family was next door, and I could hear them clearly, especially the kids. Bring decent earplugs, but I still recommend the place 100%.
