No hot water. It's 2022, so what more is there to say?

They first said the only room available that night was a tiny room with one bed, even though we'd reserved a room for two. We refused because it didn't match our booking, and they agreed to refund us. That left us without anywhere to stay at 9:30 PM, so we had to find and pay for other accommodation ourselves. Later they called to say our room was available after all and it had been a mistake. By then we'd already booked a hotel because they had confirmed the refund. We turned down their offer, and they never returned our money. Very unprofessional, strongly discouraged.

The check-in hours here are very rigid, and the owners were almost impossible to reach by phone. After a week, we still couldn't figure out who the owners were. The place also isn't in a nice part of Barcelona, and the building itself leaves a lot to be desired. A young woman showed us to our rooms, but she spoke only Spanish, so that was the only language we could use to communicate. Once inside, we were told about a €100 deposit that had never been mentioned. It was one of several surprises. The bathroom is shared with several people, and getting through a ten-minute shower without the water turning freezing was nearly impossible. The listing mentioned a washing machine and air conditioning, but not that laundry costs per wash and the AC per day. The kitchen is shared too. I strongly advise against using the cutlery, which was encrusted when we arrived. The gas stove wouldn't light on its own, so we needed a lighter, but the one there was completely empty. I strongly advise against staying here.

We had hot water trouble in one of the two bathrooms during our first two days, and the place was noisy, with other tenants acting as though they were the only ones in the apartment. Our room for two was tiny and dark, though it did the job for sleeping. The location was fairly good, close to the metro. Reception was appalling, and it was hard to communicate because we kept dealing with different people. We had told them in advance we'd arrive outside opening hours, but they still charged us another €15 on arrival, in cash and with no receipt. They also required a €100 security deposit by credit card, which was returned at the end. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
