We felt completely at home here and can’t wait to return. My wife and I stayed in September 2017. Egor, the kind owner, went out of his way to help us find places to go, show us around and make us welcome. He even printed our boarding passes and various tickets. Diya and Maria were lovely too, and sorry if we’ve forgotten anyone else on staff. The hotel is clean and modern, with very clean, quiet rooms. Breakfast was a great start to the day, and tea and coffee were available all day. Wine and snacks came out in the afternoon. It was a little hard for visitors new to the city to find at first, but the location was excellent for exploring Barcelona. We highly recommend it.

I was visiting Barcelona for the first time and was supposed to stay here from 4/30 to 5/4. Check-in hours were 3 PM to 7 PM, but when I arrived at 5, my room wasn’t ready. I went out and came back, and it still wasn’t ready until nearly 9 PM. After exploring, I returned and found that my key wouldn’t open my room. It did open the neighbor’s room, because the manager had given me the wrong key. I called her over and over, but she didn’t respond, so I spent the whole night locked out. She finally answered around noon and arrived at 12:47 PM without any urgency. When she checked the key, she tried to say she didn’t know why I had someone else’s key and acted as if it wasn’t her fault. The neighbor had both her keys, but neither worked because the keys I’d been given were for her room. The manager took no responsibility for her mistake or for leaving me stranded all night. I asked for a full refund and stayed somewhere else. Stay away!

I stayed by myself for nine nights and left really impressed. The B&B owner was attentive and went out of her way to help whenever she could, and the staff were welcoming. The place was immaculately clean. Every morning there was a lovely breakfast packed with fruit, yogurt and croissant, plus a thoughtful note that made it feel personal. After days exploring Barcelona, there was outstanding local wine and delicious Spanish green olives waiting as a compliment. A great stay and memories that will last. Thank you!

The moment we stepped into the Lobby, I loved the mix of modern style and the Gothic district. Everything was clean, laid out well, and worked as it should. We arrived in Barcelona early Tuesday morning, took a taxi from the airport for about $27 Euro, and were a little unsure where to go at first. The secure entry and friendly guests were reassuring. The Owner/Operator welcomed us around 10am and kindly showed us to our room. Thanks for the hospitality and clean resort. We'd stay at The 8 again if we're back in Spain.
