Pensión Bilbao

The location is great, close to the main tourist attractions, but the noise was a problem. There’s no soundproofing wherever you are, and the room doors don’t fit properly in their frames. They’re smaller than they should be, leaving gaps that let corridor light into the room all evening and night. The street was loud too, even though my room didn’t face the main street. I’d give cleanliness 1.5 out of 5.

The neighborhood felt calm and safe, and the pension is right in the city center, close to the metro and train station. You can walk to both the old and new town centers in under 10-15 minutes. Our room was clean, and it was cleaned every morning. The bathroom was clean and worked well too. The windows didn’t have a great view, but that was fine since we were only there to sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. We recommend it, and thought the quality for the price was good.

You’ll find a helpful, nice host here. It’s a basic but clean room in the city center, with everything you need for a night. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the old part of Bilbao. You might want earplugs.

For a two-star place, Pension Begoña was a really good stay. The room was clean and fairly comfortable, and it's right in the city center. They also kept our bags safely for free after checkout. At that price, I can't think of anything I disliked.
