Urban Burgos

The room was tiny, with a little shower, toilet, and sink tucked into a corner, but it was clean and tidy. The location was good and the price reasonable. Noise was a problem: traffic from the busy road outside, plus loud banging from the people having sex in the next room for several hours. I also hadn’t been told when booking that there was no reception desk. I arrived early hoping to leave my luggage there, but couldn’t.

The room was clean, modern, and quiet, with an easy check-in and check-out. It’s about a five-minute walk to the center. Parking was the one drawback, since finding a spot was really difficult and the paid option costs €10 per day. Even so, I’d definitely recommend the Urban hotel Burgos.

I never got to see the room, so I can’t comment on it. I’d booked three weeks ahead, but there was no reception desk or staff in the building, just a paper with a phone number. When I called, the man spoke English poorly and I couldn’t understand him, so I canceled. The hotel still charged me the full amount.

Check-in is entirely electronic, and you don’t need keys. The rooms feel modern, and the urban setting is only a few blocks from both the cathedral and bus station.
