The staff were kind and helpful, and the location was just right. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it was very clean and the bedding was excellent. I had two great nights, and it did exactly what I needed.

For 80€ for two days, Hotel Alfonso was a good deal. Breakfast was included with plenty to choose from, and the receptionist was really friendly. They also let us leave our luggage there. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked except that I couldn’t switch off the heating.

Booked while driving down from Logroño, and it worked out well for a one-night stop. The room was neat and clean, though the bathroom felt a bit dated. Reception staff were friendly, and the location was convenient.

2/10
The shower head was filthy, greasy, and had rotten rubber on it. The facilities are old and dirty, and the poor soundproofing made the whole stay feel even worse. I felt polluted and unwell there. I could only tolerate about three hours. This is the most disgusting hotel I’ve stayed in all year. I’d rather pay more for somewhere nicer than stay somewhere that leaves me feeling this uneasy.

4/10
Reception gave us a warm, friendly welcome, and the location is ideal for walking to shops, restaurants, and la parte antigua. The bed was comfortable and the room felt quite cosy, but walking barefoot left the soles of our feet black. It looked clean at first, though there was clearly a lot of dust and the room wasn’t properly clean.
