Estrella de Mar Youth Hostel

I booked four nights, but never slept in my room. On the last night, I waited out on the street for my airport ride, starting six hours before it arrived. The lack of hygiene left my skin itchy and irritated, and I had to thoroughly clean the bathroom every time I used it. It was a shared room with people I'd never met, and one night I saw people leaving after a man behaved strangely and tried to attack them. The police got involved. I kept my luggage with me even when I went to the bathroom because there was nowhere safe to leave it. This stay was a nightmare, and I think it could put your safety at risk. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

The floor was disgusting and the room smelled like body odor. It was obvious they weren't cleaning it. There was no laundry or pool, despite what was advertised. I've stayed in nicer homeless shelters. Do not stay here!

The location is great, with the supermarket, city center, clubs, and beach all nearby. The hostel is big and clean, and the rooms have air conditioning. There's also a kitchen in the cellar where you can cook. Breakfast was nothing special, but fine, though 7-9 is pretty early. The staff were very friendly and someone was always available whenever we needed help. I hadn't expected much, so I was pleasantly surprised. It has everything you need, though of course it's not like a five-star hotel.

For three of us, the week cost 500 eur, and the location was great for getting to the sea. The hostel itself was pretty dirty, though. The toilets smelled like a bus station and were filthy, which seemed odd since they washed the floor almost every day. The kitchen was tiny and short on dishes and cups.
