Casa Valle

The house was very clean and warm with the heating on. I don’t understand the comments about dirt, damp, and cold, as none of that reflected what we found. The location was my favorite part: we parked just outside and could walk into Cangas in two minutes. Our place had a patio with chairs, tables, and a barbecue. The woman who brought the key and the man who answered the phone were both incredibly kind. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back.

The house was fine, nothing special, and we only used it to sleep. I’d booked an apartment with two bathrooms, but the owner put us in one with just one. She also didn’t give me a receipt when I paid, even though I asked for one. She seemed completely clueless, and at that hour I didn’t have time to find somewhere else. Oh well.

The location is excellent, close to everything but in a quiet area, and the house is a good size. What let it down for me was the cleanliness and the smell. There seemed to be damp, and that unpleasant odor had soaked into the kitchen cabinets and cupboards. The kitchenware is very old.

It’s a spacious house in a good location, but the cleanliness disappointed me. There were dirty dishes and cutlery put away in the cupboards. The butane stove had no lighter, none of the three bathrooms had hand soap, and neither of the two kitchens had basics like salt, sugar, or oil.
