Hotel Real

The hotel makes you use the intercom whenever you want to get inside, which is a bit annoying. The bed is very hard, and the air conditioner doesn't work very well. Still, the room and bathroom were nice and clean, and the staff were super friendly. I'm here for several days on business and would definitely stay again.

I just needed somewhere cheap to sleep while travelling, and this was the closest place. The room was very small, with two single beds, window air conditioning, a shower, and a toilet. I parked my motorbike on the street and it felt safe. The elevator was a big plus.

The staff were nice, but we waited 15 minutes because nobody was at reception when we arrived at the time we'd said. The room was okay, though the shower was broken. We got back around midnight on Friday and couldn't sleep at all: the Mambo club next door blasted music and people shouted until 06.30. It felt like we might as well have slept in the club. It's a cheap hotel, but spend 10 Euro more and stay somewhere else.

For the money, I'd never stay anywhere else. This is a small, no-frills two-star hotel right beside Castellon's old centre. The rooms are small, but the aircon works really well: even with 39 degrees outside, ours stayed at a cool 18. Towels are changed every day. Bring your own shower gel and shampoo, though, as theirs aren't the best. There's no breakfast, but some of the best and cheapest pastry shops I've been to are a minute's walk away.
