Hostal La Ribera del Júcar

The value for the price is great, and I'd happily stay here again if I return to Cuenca. The staff were kind and professional, and my room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and they even had soja milk for me, which you don't often find in a small Spanish city. Thanks for everything, keep up the good work.

The staff were helpful, including when we checked in after hours. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hostal sits by the river with a lovely view up toward Old Cuenca, and it's easy to reach both the city and the hiking trails.

We came for a few days of climbing and to see more of Cuenca than we usually do on climbing trips. The hosts were approachable, always around, and full of useful food tips. They know climbing too, which was great. Most sectors in Hoz del Júcar are walkable from the hostal, and there's a short uphill walk to casco antiguo and its more touristy sights. Good running trails are right nearby. The room was spotless, with new beds and mattresses, and looked recently remodelled and well equipped. Breakfast is available on site, and there are also good breakfast bars about 100m up the road by the bridge. Honestly, one of the best value places I've stayed.

Breakfast was especially good, with fresh orange juice, artisanal honey, good coffee, homemade cake and fresh fruit. The rooms were quiet and clean, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom had been reformed. Nothing short of perfect. I'd recommend it and will stay again.
