Everything was excellent at the weekday fixed-price lunch. For €15, the Menú del Día includes four starters and four mains to choose from, plus a drink, bread, and dessert. I enjoyed it enough to book lunch for the next day right after my first meal, so I ended up eating here twice. I wish I'd found it earlier. I could have happily eaten here four days in a row!

Carlos was muy amable, and gave us a free map with really helpful explanations about where to go. It snowed during our visit last week, which was beautiful. The location by the stream is great, in one of Cuenca's liveliest spots. The rooms are in a separate building, but you check in at the restaurant. We didn't manage to eat there because it's famous and always full, so book ahead. We'd stay here again for the location and value.

The place is lively and right downtown. The weekend menu costs 22,50 € and includes appetizers, a main course chosen from a wide selection, and dessert. Portions are generous, the local products are good quality, and the price is very reasonable. The staff were friendly, though service slowed down between the appetizers and the main.

There was banging from doors all day and night, and we had no hot water or heating for two days. I also felt ripped off at the bar: a small beer cost two euros fifty cents, twice what it cost everywhere else.
