Roberto gave us a guide with ideas for places to eat and things to visit. The area is beautiful and full of nature, and Ávila is close by. The apartment is pleasant and comfortable for a few days, with everything you need. The only thing it could use is Wi-Fi, though it isn't really necessary ;)

For that price, you'd think the apartment was something amazing, but it feels like a rip-off. I can't see why anyone would rent it out. Getting up the stairs is awful, they're narrow and incredibly steep. Inside, the place is tiny: the kitchen is cramped and poorly equipped, the living room is uncomfortable, and the bedrooms are hard to describe. The bathroom is tiny too, and you can't even open the wardrobe because it hits the nightstand. I'll never go back.

Iván was very attentive, and we had some great food. The area is spectacularly beautiful, with Ávila just 20 km away and well worth a visit. We spent the December long weekend there and loved it. It was perfect for a family with two children, very clean, all new, and charmingly decorated.

We got recommendations for restaurants and hiking trails even before we arrived, and the service throughout was exceptional. Everything was clean and well looked after, and the apartment had the dishes and utensils we needed. It's a two-bedroom place in the town center, charming for a weekend, though a little small and without spectacular views. With all the nature nearby, I can't imagine spending much time indoors beyond sleeping and the occasional meal. El Barraco has restaurants, supermarkets, and shops open on weekends, so there isn't much to worry about. Highly recommended, and that attentive service is much appreciated when traveling.
