The owner was lovely, and the place was beautiful and sparkling clean. The only catch is that you need to know a little Spanish, though that wasn’t a problem for us.

A lovely little hotel, very centrally located for seeing this part of Salamanca province. The manager was super friendly and helpful.

We especially loved the delicious Venezuelan food, particularly the arepas Roraima made for us. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the staff, including Roraima, were friendly. It’s a great base for visiting Las Cavenes and Peña de Francia and enjoying the Sierra de Francia. A simple, welcoming place to unwind, disconnect, and explore nature. Thanks again, we’ll be back.

RORAIMA IS BACK! We brought our baby on this visit, and Roraima had everything ready without us needing to ask: a high chair and a pack-and-play that worked perfectly as a baby carrier. Breakfast is included, but she also went out of her way to make oatmeal with fruit and milk for our little one. Those thoughtful gestures mean a lot when you’re traveling as a family. My husband and I come to El Cabaco every two years, and we always return to Hostal Las Cavenes del Cabaco because it feels like a place that matters to us. Roraima is back in charge, and after several years under different management, it’s wonderful to have her warmth, dedication, and genuine care for guests again. The hostel is still charming, with spotless rooms and a cozy, peaceful atmosphere. It’s close to the main road for trips to nearby villages, and near the town center too. We enjoyed the beautiful Christmas lights they put up this year. Every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. You feel welcome, remembered, and cared for here. The restaurant is excellent, and the food is truly delicious. Quick tip, booking directly with Roraima is best for getting great deals. Highly recommended.
