Our room was quiet and spacious, with a small balcony, a built-in single wardrobe, a table and two chairs, and a shower over the bath. The bed was comfortable, though there was no coffee-making equipment. The town of Elzondo is just down the road, with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and bars. There were four of us, staying one Tuesday night for €130. The hotel is dated, but every area was spotless and tidy. Parking was plentiful, including a covered area, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Upstairs there's a comfortable lounge, and outside there's a pool. We didn't eat at the restaurant since it doesn't open until 9 pm, which was a bit late for us. A coach party was staying there too. It worked well for a night or two.

The customer service was shocking. The ladies at the desk don't speak English, and they talk to you as if you're stupid for not knowing Spanish. The dated rooms are overpriced. If you're a hiker, keep this as your absolute last resort. Horrible.

I slept really well during my four nights here and felt good every day. The people were so friendly, and the professional chef in the kitchen cooked lots of traditional food. I also got to learn some euskera. Such a nice hotel, five stars.
