Porta Nova Apartamentos

I’m on the second floor, and the apartment is a complete mess. It’s small, dirty, and smells of both urine and damp. The sheets had hair all over them and brown stains. I don’t want to think they were feces. The pillow was also dirty and covered with the previous guests’ hair, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The neighborhood looks very bad and doesn’t feel suitable. Parking is hard to find, and so on. This is the worst money I’ve spent on this trip.

There was a regrettable smell of marijuana throughout the building, despite smoking being prohibited. I can’t blame the property for having a disrespectful person with no manners staying there.

The place was filthy and greasy throughout. The service amounted to handing us the keys. For a week, imagine not sweeping or mopping, changing the sheets, or doing anything else. It’s one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. You’ll need to bring cleaning supplies, plates, glasses, and even a brush, dustpan, and mop, because they don’t provide them. The one clear plus was the free 100 Mbps Wi-Fi.

Juan, the owner, was really friendly, and the little tray of croissants and carton of milk they left for us was such a thoughtful touch. The place was quiet, very central, and well equipped with everything from shower gel and a hairdryer to an oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and basic supplies. I’d definitely recommend it.
